Results using this calculator are considered preliminary. This PowerPlay early power estimator provides an estimate of ICC and total power consumed for any HardCopy Stratix device, based on typical conditions. This calculation should only be used as an estimation of power, not as a specification. The actual ICC should be verified during operation because this measurement is dependent on the design and the environmental operating conditions. This PowerPlay early power estimator can also be launched from the Quartus® II software, version 3.0 and later, in which case the necessary fields are populated with the design details obtained from the Quartus II software. The user can modify these details if necessary. Using the HardCopy Stratix PowerPlay Early Power Estimator To use the estimator, you must have JavaScript enabled in your browser. Select a HardCopy Straix device from the drop-down box. Enter values for any power consumption category and clock domain, then click Calculate. To get help with the categories, click the underlined column headings. Non-zero defaults represent values for typical conditions. Follow the steps below to start the PowerPlay early power estimator. You can perform any number of these steps in any order.
