Overview
Advanced Knowledge Associates (AKA) designs and manufactures a family of embedded building blocks called Prepackaged Reconfigurable Integrated System-on-Modules (PRISMs) that accelerate advanced embedded design. Each PRISM tightly couples a standard MPU subsystem (including memories, boot devices, and standard interfaces) with an FPGA subsystem (including a configuration device, off-chip memory, and various peripherals) into a small PGA package. PRISMs support most industry-standard operating systems and come fully loaded with bootcode, and FPGA intellectual property (IP) cores (such as memory and MPU/FPGA bridge controllers). By harnessing the power of an FPGA and a microprocessor, PRISMs provide a fully programmable and reconfigurable platform that can easily implement most embedded computing tasks and any industry-standard or proprietary interface.
