Altera's configuration devices are priced lower than one-time-programmable solutions while offering in-system programmable (ISP) and reprogramming capabilities, providing a significant advantage over other configuration solutions.
Using an Altera® serial configuration device is one of the simplest ways to configure Stratix® and Cyclone® series FPGAs. All of these Altera FPGAs can be configured by a single Altera configuration device.
Altera’s serial configuration devices are an ideal complement to the Cyclone series of FPGAs in addressing high-volume, price-sensitive applications.
