Designing with HardCopy II Devices

Course Description
This course will teach you how to implement a HardCopy® II device using a Stratix® II device as a prototyping vehicle. The architecture of HardCopy II devices is discussed as well as similarities and differences to their Stratix II counterparts. The Quartus® II software v. 7.2 will be used to migrate a Stratix II device to a HardCopy II companion device. Interaction with Altera Corporation is also discussed as well as the sign off procedure and deliverables. After taking this course, you will know all you need to know to accomplish a HardCopy II project.

- Use the HardCopy II device resource guide
- Fix design resource guide violations
- Follow design & timing recommendations for successful migration
- Use design assistant to verify design migration viability

- Create a HardCopy II companion revision
- Generate and submit design files to Altera Corporation
